We are looking for unique individuals who want to be a part of a family and a team.
We are interested in people who want to be in Alaska and are not afraid to work hard and get their hands dirty.
The Job:
On a day-to-day basis, you will be staging rental gear, cleaning rental gear, prepping airplanes, loading airplanes, beaching airplanes, and whatever else is needed to accomplish the day.
This job is very physically demanding.
Not only are the days long, but you will be required to lift rafts up to 120 lbs daily.
During moose season, you will have to unload moose quarters that weigh up to 150 lbs.
There is of course always the option for a team lift and we have support equipment such as carts and forklifts.
Time Commitment:
The job starts either June 1st or July 1st as we are looking for 2 or 3 dockhands and start dates will vary.
When you interview, please tell us if you would like a June start or a July start date.
The position goes until the end of September.
You will work anywhere from 4 hours a day up to 14 hours a day with the average being around 10.
However, on some days there is down time during the day between flights to relax.
What's Included:
Your airfare to and from Bethel will be covered.
Your housing will be covered as well as wifi, internet TV, and all the modern convenances.
You will most likely have to share a room with your counterpart.
You will be given a $1000 food stipend for the summer as well.
The housing is very comfortable, nice, and clean.
You will get company clothing to include T-shirts, Hoodies, and a rain jacket.
You will also get waders and a moose Juice coat for moose season.
Basically, you will have little to no expenses when you are here.
