Summary:
Performs sonographic examinations on all ages (newborn through geriatric), contributing to the efficient operation of the department and insuring the quality and continuity of patient care.
Performs responsibilities of receptionist/clerk or other Department duties as needed.
Position
Qualifications:
Graduate of an accredited School of Sonography or equivalent.
Two years post graduate experience preferred.
Computer experience desirable.
American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS).
Registry eligible with ARDMS will be considered.
Ultrasound Machine, film printers, computer, general office equipment.
Those skills and the knowledge generally needed to perform as a registered Sonographer.
Strong in OB and able to work independently without a Radiologist on site.
Limited Vascular and abdomens.

Ability to identify and apply, preferred.

- Private Housing is not provided.
All housing units are shared units.
- Initial Airfare to YKHC will be reimbursed upon candidate's arrival (This is only based on the average cost of a plane ticket, if the candidate brings additional items they will be responsible for the cost) - Cab vouchers will be provided based on the employee's proximity and distance to the hospital (this is done at the discretion of the Hiring Manager).
- There is no Holiday Rate Pay provided for this position.

Hep B is done usually from ages 1-4) If the candidate is not able to provide the shots listed above, they will not be accepted for the position Additionally, airfare is paid initially by the candidate and/or the agency and will be reimbursed upon the candidate's arrival here in Bethel, AK.

We have New Hire Orientation classes on Tuesday and Wednesday of each week.

We are required to receive the flight itinerary information for the candidate at least (1) week in advance to ensure that we can provide Scheduling, NEO Class attendance, Housing, etc.
